What is fetal medicine?
It is the branch of medicine which deals with pregnancy scans, it even starts from pre-pregnancy period, confirming pregnancy, NT scans, anomaly scans to detect fetal abnormalities, growth scans to assess growth of baby, prenatal screening and fetal interventions.
Fetal interventions? what is it?
There are certain procedures which we do during pregnancy which are either diagnostic or therapeutic. we do all the advanced procedures like amniocentesis, cordocentesis, chorionic villous sampling, fetal reductions, vesicoamniotic shunts and fetal transfusions. Dr. Sharmila at our center is an expert in fetal interventions and well versed in all the advanced procedures.

For parents who want to see the face of their baby we perform special 3D scans to help you visualise your baby's face at special additional cost. Kindly request an appointment in advance for 3D scans.
Prenatal screening, what is it?
